Program Description

3 credits HPPH 399A. Students will travel to Havana, where the bulk of the course will take place with emphasis on architecture and public history. You will receive online backgound instruction before the tour begins, keep a trip journal, and will complete a processing assignment upon return. The trip includes language instruction that can be transferred back to Shepherd for 3 credits of Spanish. You will learn about the culture, economy and history of Cuba. You will sample the local food, take Latin dance lessons, participate on excursions to Trinidad, ViƱales, and catch some rays on the beach. Bring your friends or make new friends for life in this adventure of a lifetime!
