Program Description

This course Art 304: Travel Photography to Costa Rica, will introduce students to travel and wildlife photography with an emphasis placed on the use of photography and art in conservation efforts. This course will end with an international study abroad trip touring Costa Rica's rich environment and cultural conservation refuges. The course will cover topics such as:
- Why travel/wildlife photography?
- Essential photographic tools and tips for travel/wildlife photography
- Travel photographers/photographic artists whose work addresses issues of conservation
- Research on locales we will visit in Costa Rica
