The purpose of the travel practicum is to "bring to life" the places students have read about and studied during the semester, in this case in APST 430, Celtic Roots—places that have shaped the work of the various writers discussed throughout the course. For this reason, students not taking the APST 430 Celtic France course are encouraged to keep current with the notes and discussion on the course webpage at http://webpages.shepherd.edu/sshurbut/travelcourse1.htm. Doing so will enhance the quality of journal entries and abstracts, as well as their enjoyment of the travel component of Celtic Roots experience.
